Dickens is Charlotte's toy mouse. She actually bought it at the hospital gift shop and gave it to Alice when she was born, but since then has reclaimed it. Every nap and bedtime is a scramble to find Dickens. Charlotte has to sleep with him, but then takes him with her when she gets out of bed. Ive found Dickens in the car cup holder, in dress-up bags, everywhere. So now part of our bedtime ritual is locating Dickens before herding them upstairs.
